From Hwy. 101, drive west on the Skokomish Valley Road from the WDFW fish hatchery on the highway. Go 1.7 miles and take a left on W. Deyette Rd. Go .2 miles to the “T” and take a left on the dirt road. Go .2 miles to the parking spot. Depending on rainfall, a four wheel drive vehicle may be required to use this site. Only the field to the north of the parking spot will be available this year. The first vehicle parked at the sign reserves the entire site. The opportunity to hunt is on a first come/first served basis. Only 3 hunters allowed in the party and no more than 15 shells per hunter. Pick up all litter, empty shells, and dead birds. Avoid shooting towards buildings.

Accessing this site

Feel Free to Hunt includes access to private lands where WDFW has a management agreement with the owner to provide public access for hunting. Hunters are not required to gain additional permission when hunting lands posted with a Feel Free to Hunt sign.

This site may not attract waterfowl until heavy rainfall events as late as November or even December. Bring your own portable or jump shoot the creek. Pick up all litter, empty shells, and dead birds. Avoid shooting towards buildings.
