Drawing is for the chance to be one of five archery, five muzzleloader, or five modern firearm hunters to hunt on over 6,000 acres of public rangeland in northeastern Okanogan County, just east of the town of Oroville. Drawing winners will receive an access permit that will allow them to hunt these properties during the appropriate early general season.

 

Hunt Information:

  • The hunt area is land recently purchased by WDFW.
  • Access is limited to walk-in only from the Chesaw or Eder Roads.
  • There are 700 acres of private agricultural lands in the center of the unit that are closed to hunting. This area is designated with "No Trespassing" signs.
  • The area can be hot and dry, especially in September.
