L.T. Murray Wildlife AreaThe L.T. Murray Wildlife Area covers 106,400 acres in four units that lie both west and east of Ellensburg in Kittitas County. All units except for the Yakima River unit have a checkerboard ownership pattern with DNR.

    The area surrounding the Joe Watt and Robinson winter feed sites is closed to all human entry from mid-December until 6 a.m. on May 1 to protect wintering elk from disturbance. The closed area is posted and identified on the L.T. Murray Green Dot Map.
