L - Likely breeder (breeding behavior observed, young or females in pregnant or lactating condition found on SWA)
M - Migration habitat present at SWA
N - Known breeder (≥ 1 young found within area)
P - Potential breederS – Suspected, but not confirmed at SWA
W - Winter habitat present at SWA

Some of the suspected mammals may occur on SWA once every 5 – 10 years or less

Area/seasonal abundance:

A - Abundant (numerous in appropriate habitats)
C - Common (likely to be observed in appropriate habitats)
I - Intermittent (intermittently present in suitable habitats)
R - Rare (observed every 2 to 5 years)
U - Uncommon (present in suitable habitats, but not certain to be observed)
X - Extremely rare (observed less frequently than every 5 years)
