DESCRIPTION OF INCIDENT
THE RP STATES THAT 10-15 DAYS AGO A COUGAR WAS SEEN AT THE JUNCTION OF PETERSON RD AND GREEN RD. IT WAS NOT REPORTED AND SHE ONLY HEARD ABOUT IT. THEN ABOUT TWO-THREE DAYS AGO, THE RPíS NEIGHBOR SAW A COUGAR JUMP UP ON TOP OF A ROCK BASKET FORMING A CORNER OF HER WESTERN ENCLOSURE OF HER HORSE AND REMAINING SHEEP. IT DID NO DAMAGE AND SHE SUSPECTS HE NORMALLY AGGRESSIVE HORSE CHASED IT OUT. A DEPREDATION PERMIT FOR TWO MORE WEEKS IS BEING CONDUCTED DUE TO THE RECENT ACTIVITY, THE HISTORY OF LOSSES IN THE AREA, AND CURRENT FRESH SNOW FOR TRACKING CONDITIONS.
