DESCRIPTION OF INCIDENT
ON 01-09-13, W43 RESPONDED TO SEVERAL CALLS TO A COUGAR FREQUENTING SEVERAL RESIDENCE NEAR THE ONION CREEK SCHOOL. W43 COULD NOT LOCATE ANY COUGAR TRACKS, BUT DID NOTIFY A HOUNDSMAN TO CANVAS THE AREA FOR A COUGAR. THE HOUNDSMAN WAS TO RUN THE CAT, BUT NOT KILL IT. ON 01-10-13, I RETURNED A CALL TO THE RP. THE RP ADVISED THE COUGAR MAY HAVE KILLED 10 OF HIS CHICKENS. I ASKED IF HE SAW ANY SAUCER SIZED TRACKS IN THE SNOW. HE ADVISED ONLY RACCOON TRACKS NEAR HIS CHICKEN PEN. I ADVISED THE RP TO CALL IF HE SAW THE COUGAR OR ITS TRACKS AND I WOULD RESPOND. WILL MONITOR.
