DESCRIPTION OF INCIDENT
REPORTING PARTY CALLED IN TO REPORT THAT WHILE HIKING ON THE METHOW VALLEY SPORT TRAIL ON THE POWERS PLUNGE SECTION, SHE OBSERVED A COUGAR FOLLOWING HER. SHE SCREAMED AND HOLLARED AT THE COUGAR BUT IT WOULD NOT LEAVE. A BICYCLIST WAS IN THE AREA AND HEARD THE SCREAMING. HE RODE OVER AND THE COUGAR LEFT. THEY RETURNED SAFELY TO HER VEHICLE AND CALLED TO REPORT THE INCIDENT.
