DESCRIPTION OF INCIDENT
AROUND 9:40AM A CALL WAS RECEIVED FROM AN RP WHO HAD SEEN A COUGAR AROUND THE EDGE OF HER FENCE THE PAST TWO DAYS. AROUND 1:30PM, A SECOND RP ON THE SAME STREET CALLED TO SAY THAT HIS DOG HAD BEEN KILLED BY A COUGAR AND HE COULD SEE A HOLE IN HIS FENCE WHERE THE COUGAR CAME IN. OFFICERS AND A BIOLOGIST RESPONDED AND FOUND THE DOG'S CARCASS WITHIN 10 YARDS OF THE FENCE. A KARELIAN BEAR DOG WAS USED TO TRACK THE COUGAR AND QUICKLY TREED IT AT WHICH TIME OFFICERS DISPATCHED THE COUGAR, A MALE KITTEN VERY UNDERWEIGHT.
