DESCRIPTION OF INCIDENT
RP CALLED TO REPORT THAT HE FOUND ONE OF HIS CALVES DEAD NEAR THE CREEK OUTSIDE OF HIS FENCED AREA. THE NEXT DAY, HE FOUND A SECOND CALF DEAD INSIDE OF THE FENCED AREA. AFTER EACH CALF WAS FOUND, THE RP BURIED THE CARCASSES. A FISH AND WILDLIFE OFFICER RESPONDED AND CONCLUDED THAT A COUGAR HAD KILLED AND DRUG OFF THE CALVES. DUE TO THE EXTREME HEAT AND THE CARCASSES WERE BURIED, HOUND DOGS WERE NOT USED TO TRACK THE COUGAR. THE RP WAS GIVEN ADVICE TO PREVENT FUTURE ATTACKS.
