Vance Creek Pond #1 now open to juvenile anglers only
ELMA -- Only children under age 15 may fish in Vance Creek Pond as of
tomorrow, May 1, the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife announced today.
Vance Creek Pond is near Elma in Grays Harbor County. The pond, identified
with a juvenile-only fishing sign, is located south of Highway 12 near the Elma Municipal
Airport. Take Wenzel Slough Road. Pond No. 1 is the first pond on the right.
WDFW changed regulations to reserve the pond for juvenile fishing at the
request of the Grays Harbor County Public Works Department following the annual
public regulation-setting process.
