Puyallup River closure to protect wild steelhead
OLYMPIA -- The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) today
announced the emergency closure of a portion of the Puyallup River.
The Puyallup will be closed to fishing between March 18 and March 31, from the
mouth upstream to the East Main Avenue Bridge in Puyallup.
The emergency closure will protect wild White River steelhead migrating through
the lower mainstem Puyallup River and into the White River.
