Hunters reminded to make phone permit application by June 10, 2001
Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) officials remind hunters that, for the first time this year, all applications for special permits for fall hunts must be made over the telephone or the Internet.
Hunters seeking special hunting permits must submit their applications by June 10.
The toll-free telephone number to submit permit applications is 1-877-945-3492.
The Internet website for permit applications (www.fishhunt.dfw.wa.gov) is expected to be operational by June 1.
Hunters must first purchase a permit application from a license dealer or by calling 1-866-246-9453, then use the telephone or Internet to submit information about hunt choices. All details of the application process are on page 18 of the newly-available WDFW 2001 Big Game Hunting Seasons and Rules" pamphlet.
