WDFW boat ramp on Phillips Lake
scheduled to close for renovations

SHELTON – A public boat ramp owned by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) on Phillips Lake in southeastern Mason County will be closed Nov. 7-8 for minor renovations.

During the two-day closure, a WDFW crew will add a 10-foot extension to the ramp to facilitate the loading and unloading of boats when water levels are low, said Shane Belson, WDFW water access coordinator.

Other areas of the Phillips Lake Water Access Site access site will remain open.

Belson said closing the ramp during construction is necessary to ensure public safety, adding that the department is committed to finishing the work on schedule.

The Phillips Lake Water Access Site is located 10 miles northeast of Shelton on East Phillips Lake Loop Road.
