Meeting scheduled Nov. 28 in Pateros
to discuss fish, wildlife issues
OLYMPIA – Pateros residents will have an opportunity to discuss fish and wildlife issues with Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) Director Jeff Koenings and regional staff during a public meeting Nov. 28.
The meeting is scheduled from 7-9 p.m. at the Pateros School Library, 344 W Beach Street.
Topics will include a draft fish management plan recently developed for the Upper Columbia River area and the Upper Columbia River steelhead fishery. WDFW staff also will answer questions and take comments about fishing, hunting, wildlife viewing, habitat protection, enforcement and other fish and wildlife related issues.
“I encourage anyone with an interest in our state’s fish and wildlife resources to take the time to attend this discussion,” said Dennis Beich, WDFW north central regional director. “This will be an excellent forum to informally discuss issues in depth, and to become better acquainted with department personnel.”
