Tumwater meeting to focus on 1998-99 sportfishing rules
TUMWATER -- Western Washington residents wishing to comment on
proposed 1998-99 recreational fishing regulations will have the opportunity at a meeting
from 9:30 a.m. to noon Dec. 6 at the Department of Labor and Industries, 7273
Linderson Way, the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife announced.
Comments will be recorded and provided to the Fish and Wildlife Commission.
One or more commissioners also is scheduled to be present. Members of the Fish
Management Program staff will attend the meeting to respond to questions.
The commission is scheduled to hold a formal public hearing to take public
testimony on the proposed regulations on Dec. 13 at the Red Lion Inn in Spokane.
Persons unable to attend the meetings may provide written comments. They
should be addressed to: Evan Jacoby, rules coordinator, Washington Department of
Fish and Wildlife, 600 Capitol Way N., Olympia, 98501-1091.
