Boat ramp closure extended at Langsdorf Landing

OLYMPIA – Langsdorf Landing, a popular Clark County boat ramp used by anglers fishing the Columbia River will remain closed through mid-November.

The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW), which owns and maintains the facility, has been working to replace the ramp and loading float since mid-October.

Although the new boat ramp has been installed, additional time is needed to drive the pilings for the loading float and pour asphalt on the parking lot, said Chris Spangler, WDFW access manager.

“The weather has been a factor, and we need to finish the work so the ramp can be re-opened for public use as soon as possible,” he said.

Spangler encourages boaters to check WDFW's website at http://wdfw.wa.gov/lands/water_access/ for updates.
