Ocean coho, chinook fishing to close after Sept. 4
OLYMPIA -- Thursday is the last day for ocean fishing for coho and chinook
salmon in Ocean Area 2 (Westport and Ocean Shores), the Washington Department of
Fish and Wildlife has announced.
The closure takes effect at 11:59 p.m., Sept. 4, when the quota is expected to
have been met.
Fishing opportunity for chinook will continue inside of Buoy 13 (Grays Harbor)
from Sept. 1 through 30.
Fishers should consult the department's "Fishing In Washington" rules pamphlet
for complete details on fishing seasons and regulations.
