Public meetings to discuss recreational shrimp and crab fishing in Discovery Bay and Port Angeles Harbor have been set for Feb. 23 - 24, the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife announced today.

The first meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m., Feb. 23, at the Gardiner Community Center, 980 Old Gardiner Rd., Gardiner.

The second meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m., Feb. 24, at Peninsula College's Little Theater, 1502 East Lauridsen Blvd., Port Angeles.

WDFW biologists will review the 1999 recreational shrimp fisheries, provide information about upcoming shrimp fishing opportunities and seek public comment on both the crab and shrimp fisheries.
