OLYMPIA –The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) has set eight public meetings throughout the state to collect public comment on proposed hunting seasons.

Proposed changes in anterless white-tailed deer hunting, early archery elk, moose and sheep hunting opportunities, the Okanogan youth deer season, weapons for hunting grouse, and shifting September goose hunting days in eastern Washington are among the items up for consideration by the Washington Fish and Wildlife Commission. The commission, which sets policy for WDFW, is scheduled to adopt proposed changes at its April 11-12 meeting in Moses Lake.

The public meetings are set for 7-9 p.m. at the following locations:

Comments provided at the meetings, along with comments received via e-mail or mail, will be used to develop draft hunting season recommendations.
