Seattle angler catches record spiny dogfish

OLYMPIA -- Washington has a new dogfish record.

Angler Roger Petersen, of Seattle, caught the 20-pound, 4-ounce spiny dogfish on May 22 at Middle Bank in Island County.

Petersen's hook was baited with herring.

The previous record was a 17-pound, 4-ounce dogfish.
