PUYALLUP–Lots of large coho salmon weighing up to 5 pounds await youngsters at DeCoursey Pond here, the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife announced. An additional 100 - 200 Voights Creek hatchery coho will be released in the pond by Saturday.

The pond, located in DeCoursey Park on 7th Avenue S.W., is open to children under age 15 through Nov. 30. An earlier news release erroneously stated it closed to fishing on Nov. 1.

No fishing license or catch record card is necessary. The daily limit is five coho.
