The Department of Fish and Wildlife will hold public meetings Nov. 6 and 12 to discuss proposed sportfishing rule changes.
There are 13 housekeeping changes, five new fishing opportunities, 11 conservations changes, nine changes to meet legal obligations and agreements and three policy issues being proposed.
Both meetings are scheduled to run from 7 to 9 p.m. and will offer the opportunity for informal discussion with staff. Several members of the Fish and Wildlife Commission are scheduled to attend both meetings. A formal public hearing on the regulation changes will be held at the Dec. 6 and 7 commission meeting.
