Discuss fish, wildlife issues
at Sept. 27 roundtable in Pateros
Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) Director Jeff Koenings and WDFW regional staff will discuss fish and wildlife issues at a public roundtable meeting Sept. 27 in Pateros.
The meeting will run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Pateros School Library, 344 W. Beach St.
Discussion topics will include a draft fish management plan recently developed for the Upper Columbia River area. WDFW staff also will answer questions and take comments about fishing, hunting, wildlife viewing, habitat protection, enforcement and other related issues.
“I encourage anyone with an interest in our state’s fish and wildlife resources to take the time to attend this roundtable discussion,” said WDFW Northcentral Regional Director Dennis Beich of Ephrata.
“This will be an excellent forum to informally discuss issues in depth and to become better acquainted with department personnel.”
Beich noted that the upcoming session will be the fourth annual public roundtable that Koenings and WDFW staff have held in Pateros.
