Meet area WDFW enforcement officers Sept. 19 in Salkum

SALKUM – Citizens will have an opportunity to meet Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) enforcement officers who serve Lewis and Cowlitz counties during a public forum Sept. 19 at the Fire Hall in Salkum.

The informal meeting, scheduled from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., is designed to give area residents an opportunity to get to know WDFW enforcement officers and discuss fish and wildlife enforcement issues. The forum will be hosted by the Friends Of The Cowlitz organization, and will follow their regularly scheduled meeting.

“This is a great chance for people to meet our officers, talk with them about our enforcement program, and exchange information about fish and wildlife,” said Sgt. Ted Holden, who supervises WDFW Enforcement in Lewis and Cowlitz counties.

The Fire Hall is located at 2480 State Route 12, adjacent to the public library.
