Region 3 Blinds...

Sunnyside Area

This blind is located on Giffin Lake in the Sunnyside Wildlife Area with a drop-off area next to it and a 100-foot gravel pathway. The water in front remains open longer during cold weather providing great opportunity for waterfowl when other ponds freeze. Use waders while putting out decoys or launch a small boat at the other end of the lake. The blind offers duck, goose, quail and pheasant hunting. This is first-come first-served, with disabled hunters having priority if the blind is occupied 2 hours prior to daylight.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS:

Driving east on I-82 (12) from Yakima toward Pasco, take the Port of Sunnyside exit to the right and go south on Midvale Road. Stay on the Midvale Road about 4 miles to the Holiday road and turn right. Follow this road into the Sunnyside Wildlife Area and go straight past the equipment shed on the left to the Office on the right. The blind is through a gate to the left about .5 miles down a primitive road on the left next to Giffin Lake.
