PREFACE: There is a lack of published data on wind power development within the occupied range of both species of sage-grouse (Centrocercus spp.). Presently, most wind power developments within the range of either species are in marginal habitat for sage-grouse or their impacts are not easily identified because of other confounding factors including major highway systems. We expect this to change, however, as the number of wind power developments increases.
