Washington State Migratory Bird Stamp and Artwork Program
Chehalis Valley Private Lands

The Washington Migratory Bird Stamp Program has been active in restoring and enhancing wetlands and associated upland habitat affecting more than 350 acres along the Chehalis River from Porter to Montesano. This program has involved working with landowners to develop hunting access and habitat improvements, ranging from annual grain farming, to reed canary grass control, to construction of water control structures. Projects typically receive winter use by dabblers and trumpeter swans. These projects have been made possible through matching funds from Ducks Unlimited, Inc.
