Washington State Migratory Bird Stamp and Artwork Program
Chehalis Valley Wildlife Area Migratory Bird Stamp Projects

The Washington Migratory Bird Stamp Program has been active in restoring and enhancing wetlands and associated upland habitat at the 500 acre Chehalis Valley Wildlife Area since it was purchased with stamp funds and Ducks Unlimited, Inc. matching funds in 1988-91. Projects affecting over 400 acres have included vegetation control, wetland construction, access improvements, and annual grain farming / pasture improvements. This area is an important use site for dabbling ducks, and receives occasional use by Canada geese and swans.
