| The Washington Migratory Bird Stamp Program has been active in restoring and enhancing over 2000 acres of wetlands at the Desert Wildlife Area for breeding / brood rearing and developing hunting sites. Projects in this area were the first to be implemented with migratory bird stamp revenue in 1986, and have included excavations, water control structures, and carp control dikes to improve invertebrate levels for duck broods. Partners in many of these projects have included Ducks Unlimited and Washington Waterfowl Association. |
