WDFW Beach Season Information

Clam, mussel, and oyster seasons CLOSED for harvest in 2024 due to construction at the park. Anticipated to re-open in 2025.

WDFW shellfish seasons indicate the specific times of year when harvesting is permitted. Before heading to the beach, please also check the Department of Health (DOH) information below which is related to health of the shellfish and may be updated daily. To harvest on this beach, it must be both during the WDFW approved season and approved by the DOH.

Harvest profile

This beach has been enhanced with oysters.

This beach is mostly sandy substrate and littleneck clam habitat is limited. There is a small patch of mixed sand and gravel near the west end of the beach that may have some native littleneck clams and Manila clams, but they are not abundant. There are some butter clams and horse clams available on the sandy areas of this beach. Please take care not to cover oysters with sand and mud while digging clams because this will potentially kill the oysters.

Directions

From SR 16 (either east or westbound) take the Wollochet Dr NW exit and follow the signs to the park.

Parking

Kopachuck State Park requires use of a Discover Pass or payment of a daily parking fee. A WDFW Vehicle Access Pass is not valid.

Kopachuck State Park offers picnicking, picnic shelters, BBQs, restrooms and hiking.
