Trapper Education Class Schedule & Information

Persons purchasing a state trapping license for the first time shall present certification of completion of a course of instruction in safe, humane, and proper trapping techniques or pass an examination to establish that the applicant has the requisite knowledge.

The Washington State Trapper’s Association offers a limited amount of classroom courses throughout the year. See their website for more information,

Trapper Education Home Study Option
Very few trapper education classes are available so most potential trapping students will be interested in the home study option program. A student manual and study guide will help you prepare you for the written examination.
