Trapper Education Training

Prior to purchasing an initial Washington trapping license, trappers must pass the trapper education exam. There are two different avenues that prospective trappers can meet the legal requirements of RCW 77.65.460.

Trapper Education Classes

The Washington State Trapper's Association offers classroom courses throughout the year. Below is a list of the current classes that are being offered and how to sign up for them.

Trapper Education Home Study Option

Very few trapper education classes are available so most potential trapping students will be interested in the home study option program. A student manual and study guide will help you prepare you for the written examination.
