Chuck Bolland, 360-902-2255
OLYMPIA -- The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) has lifted the zero to three mile off-shore restriction on recreational salmon fishing in the Westport area.

Starting at 12:01 a.m. tomorrow (Aug. 13), anglers may fish within the three mile zone. In addition, the daily limit has been modified so that anglers may retain two chinook. The limit of four salmon in any seven consecutive days remains in effect.

The Westport area, from the mouth of the Queets River to Leadbetter Point, will remain open until the recreational quota of fish is caught.
