WDFW seeks applicants for
Cowlitz River Advisory Group

The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) is seeking to fill up to two positions on its Cowlitz River Advisory Group (CRAG). WDFW will accept applications through July 2018.

Formed in 2010, the CRAG makes recommendations to WDFW about Cowlitz River hatchery programs, fishery management issues, and recovery actions for wild fish population.

To ensure all relevant interests are represented, WDFW is seeking applicants from the sportfishing guide community and from local businesses affected by recreational fishing in the Cowlitz river basin.

The CRAG has up to 20 members, including anglers and others who recreate in the Cowlitz River basin and are affected by area fisheries and hatchery programs. Meetings occur four times a year, with additional meetings as needed.

An application form and instructions are available at: https://wdfw.wa.gov/about/advisory/crag/

Applications are due by 5 p.m. July 31, 2018.

For more information on the Cowlitz River Advisory Group go to: https://wdfw.wa.gov/about/advisory/crag/
