Washington, Oregon fish and wildlife commissioners will hold meeting to discuss Columbia River conservation and management

OLYMPIA – Members of the Washington and Oregon Fish and Wildlife commissions will hold a special meeting next week to discuss joint-state fishery management and conservation on the Columbia River.

The meeting will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 20.

Four members of the Washington Commission and two members of the Oregon Fish and Wildlife Commission will discuss fishery management and allocation, as well as focus areas for conservation and recovery on the river.

The meeting is part of an ongoing effort to develop a joint commission policy to help guide concurrent fisheries management in the shared waters of the Columbia River.
