For the week beginning Sunday November 19 all areas are closed except as follows:


Area 7B (Bellingham Bay):
Gillnets using 5-inch minimum mesh size: Open continuously 7 AM Monday November 20 to 4 PM Friday November 24.
Purse seines with a 5 inch strip: 7 AM to 5 PM Daily Monday November 20 through Friday November 24. Brailing of catch and recovery boxes are required. Must release all Chinook and sockeye. 


For the week beginning Sunday November 26 all areas are closed except as follows:


Area 7B (Bellingham Bay):
Gillnets using 5-inch minimum mesh size: Open continuously 7 AM Monday November 27 to 4 PM Friday December 1.
Purse seines with a 5 inch strip: 7 AM to 5 PM Daily Monday November 27 through Friday December 1. Brailing of catch and recovery boxes are required. Must release all Chinook and sockeye. 


Due to lower than expected returns and the need to reach spawning escapement goals, South Sound and Hood Canal are now closed for the 2023 season.


Due to the current state of the market for salmon, please call and secure a buyer before participating in commercial salmon fisheries. Enforcement will be present on the water and citing for any wastage of unsold fish.
