Burrowing Owl Camera Update: May 2015
WDFW Biologists conducted owl banding at the sites at and around the camera in late May. The male of the camera nest is a 3 year old bird and the same male from last year. They did not trap the female. There are 8 nestlings in the nest chamber, so keep watching for future peeks of the "new kids on the block." Of interest- a breeding adult captured for banding nearby was found to be a chick from last year's camera nest. The family is taking over the neighborhood!

Camera refresh rates are every 10 seconds.
Camera viewing is limited to 15 minute intervals.
