SPOKANE - The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) water access site on Eloika Lake in Spokane County will be closed July 13-31 for installation of a new boat ramp and dock and other amenities.

WDFW eastern lands manager Brian Trickel of Spokane said signs explaining the temporary closure will be posted at the site, located seven miles north of Chattaroy off State Highway 2.

The new boat ramp and dock is part of a project funded by a grant from the Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO) for improvements at the site. New toilets were installed at the site last year.
