Fishing, hunting, wildlife presentations at ‘Go Play Outside' outdoor show

OLYMPIA - Southwest Washington outdoor enthusiasts can learn about fishing, hunting, hunter safety and wildlife watching at the "Go Play Outside at the Outdoor Show," Saturday, May 18 at Eco Park Resort near Mount St. Helens.

Sponsored in part by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, the free outdoor show also features animal and fish identification displays, archery, fly casting blackpowder shooting demonstrations, a hunter safety presentation and an elk calling demonstration. Activities are scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with live bluegrass music starting at 2 p.m. Food will also be available.

Co-sponsors of the event include the Mount St. Helens Preservation Society, Bob's Sporting Goods, Chinook Sales and Rentals and Wood's Logging Supply.

Eco Park Resort is at 14000 Spirit Lake Highway (State Route 504). Take exit 49 from Interstate 5, head east 24 miles and look for the sign. More information is available by contacting (360) 749-6700.
