OLYMPIA -- Youngsters who go fishing when they visit Washington will get a price break beginning this summer under a license change passed by the Legislature.

As of July 27 gamefish licenses no longer will be required for non-residents under age 15 who fish while accompanied by a licensed adult.

In addition, out-of-state juveniles are exempt from the state's $5 warmwater enhancement surcharge. They still are required to purchase a license for steelhead fishing.
