OLYMPIA--The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife's (WDFW) annual hunting prospects publication, "Game Trails," is available free to hunters at license dealers and WDFW offices across the state.

The newsprint publication features WDFW wildlife biologists' estimates of what hunters can expect by species and region. Of all the seasons that open this fall, deer hunting likely will offer the best opportunities for the most hunters. Waterfowl hunting remains the strongest season with record numbers of ducks and geese available.

"Game Trails" also offers information about research, special projects, issues and challenges facing hunted species.

To find a license dealer where a copy of "Game Trails" can be obtained, see WDFW's website which provides lists of license dealers by region. Or call the nearest WDFW regional office, listed in the hunting regulations pamphlet.
