Public meeting set to discuss salmon and steelhead seasons in Central Washington

OLYMPIA – The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) will hold an in-person public meeting in Wenatchee on Tuesday, March 18 from 6-8 p.m. to discuss the upcoming salmon and steelhead seasons in the central and eastern regions of the state.

This meeting, part of the annual North of Falcon salmon season-setting process, will focus on fisheries in the upper Columbia (upstream of McNary Dam) and Snake rivers. WDFW fishery managers will present forecasts and season proposals, and the public will have an opportunity to provide input.

The meeting will be held at the Confluence Technology Center at 285 Technology Center Way, Suite 102, Wenatchee, WA 98801. Attendance is limited to in-person participation only. WDFW will share a pre-recorded presentation covering proposed seasons and fishery guidelines on the meeting webpage for those unable to attend.

The public is invited to provide input on fisheries or ask questions at the meeting or online through the Public Input portal.
