WDFW statement May 16, 2025

In September 2023, the Sportsmen’s Alliance Foundation (petitioner) submitted a public records request to the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW). In January 2025, the petitioner filed a lawsuit against the Department for failing to provide records in a timely manner. On May 2, 2025, the Department released an additional installment of records to the petitioner.

On May 16, 2025, the petitioner sent a petition to Gov. Ferguson asking him to remove four Fish and Wildlife commissioners.
