WDFW Beach Season Information
Clam, mussel, and oyster seasons OPEN for harvest year-round.
WDFW shellfish seasons indicate the specific times of year when harvesting is permitted. Before heading to the beach, please also check the Department of Health (DOH) information below which is related to health of the shellfish and may be updated daily. To harvest on this beach, it must be both during the WDFW approved season and approved by the DOH.
This is a silty, muddy beach. Eastern softshell clams are the primary species present, though not in large numbers.
On Camano Island, take Highway 532. Turn north on N. Good Road. N. Good Road veers left and becomes Utsalady Road. Follow Utsalady Road for approximately one mile. Turn right (north) on Moore Road and follow it to English Boom.

During the 1920s and 1930s, the park was once a logging boom owned by the English Lumber Company. Trees were hauled to the water, tied together and pulled by tug to sawmills. Island County purchased the parkland in 1997.
