WDFW Beach Season Information
Clams, mussels and oysters CLOSED year-round due to conservation concerns.
WDFW shellfish seasons indicate the specific times of year when harvesting is permitted. Before heading to the beach, please also check the Department of Health (DOH) information below which is related to health of the shellfish and may be updated daily. To harvest on this beach, it must be both during the WDFW approved season and approved by the DOH.
To reach the site from the west on Highway 305 from Pousbo, travel east on Highway 305, crossing over the Agate Pass Bridge onto Bainbridge Island. Continue for about three miles to the intersection of Highway 305 and Day Road NE. There is a sign for Fay Bainbridge Park at this intersection. Turn left and follow Day Road NE approximately two miles to a T-intersection. Turn left onto Sunrise Drive NE and continue to the park entrance about two miles farther.
To reach the site from the east and the Seattle-Bainbridge Island ferry, travel west on Highway 305 passing through Winslow and continue for approximately five miles. Look for Day Road NE on the right. There is a sign for Fay Bainbridge State Park at this intersection. Turn right and follow Day Road NE approximately two miles to a T-intersection. Turn left onto Sunrise Drive NE and continue to the park entrance about two miles farther.
There are restrooms, picnic areas, kitchen shelters, a volleyball area, year-round camping and horseshoe pits at Fay Bainbridge Park.
