Vernita Bridge

In order to protect natural habitat and resources, improve human safety, and provide a more sustainable user experience, the Department is implementing changes at the Vernita Bridge Access Area. The site is owned by the Department of Energy (DOE) and managed by WDFW. The changes will also bring management into alignment with the DOE permit issued to WDFW. For the 2024 fall Chinook fishing season, there will be designated areas for both camping and day use, unlike in the past. For more details and other changes, please read our blog, Vernita Bridge: Changes on the horizon or fact sheet (PDF).
