The Shady Pass wolf pack was confirmed as a pack in 2021. According to the 2023 annual population survey, the pack had a minimum count of four wolves and was considered a successful breeding pair in 2023 (see pages 58-59 in the state’s Wolf Conservation and Management Plan for a description of a successful breeding pair).
