New blog post: Capturing and collaring Washington's wolves

WDFW biologists recently spent a week in the Blue Mountains in southeast Washington as well as northeast Washington capturing wolves for the annual wolf population survey. They were able to capture and collar eight wolves in eight packs in one week. In total, they placed 14 collars on wolves in 12 different packs so far this year--an impressive number considering the challenges involved in wolf captures.
