The department documented a confirmed wolf depredation on a heifer and has attributed the depredation to the Smackout pack on Oct. 31. The depredation resulted in a mortality of the heifer. The latest depredation brings the total to four by the pack since Aug. 20, 2018. Director Susewind is reviewing the details of the four depredations by the pack and is considering next steps.
