You can build spaces where birds thrive wherever you live – yard and acreage not required! In this workshop, you will learn the components that make-up quality habitats, how to get started on creating your own, and how to steward your relationship with wildlife and habitat around you. Participants will leave the workshop with a custom habitat plan, planting resources, and a habitat starter kit.  Come join the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife and Eastside Audubon as we teach you how to create habitat at home!

Claire Kerwin has been working in restoration ecology and education for 10 years. She believes that humans and the natural world are not separate and she’s passionate about fostering beneficial relationships between the two. Claire received a Bachelor of Science from University of Massachusetts and a Master of Environmental Studies from The Evergreen State College, where she focused on restoration ecology, Indigenous food sovereignty, and toxicology.

Registration for this event is required.  Eastside Audubon is hosting the event and offering a sliding pricing scale of $0 to $20 per person, so pay what you can within that range. All proceeds go toward covering the costs of this event as well as offering this same workshop in an underserved community.
