Cedar

Cedar Lake sits in a wooded setting and has an interesting small island. You'll find good fishing for lots of pan sized Eastern Brook Trout here.

Getting here:

From Wilkeson head east to dirt Rd #7710/7720 towards Celery Meadow/Rooster Comb trailhead, high clearance 4WD required. At ~13 miles, just past a target practice area on left, turn left onto side road. Stay left at 1st road split, then turn right at a (T). Cedar Lake trailhead will be about ½ mile on left before going up another steep road. Cedar Lake is visible from the top of hill 100 yards past trailhead on left. Trail starts out very steep/slippery and heads down to an old logging road. Turn right onto road, turn right again onto next road. At dip in road find trail on left going down - take 40 degree right split in flat area to Cedar Lake. Trail passes thru several boggy areas and crosses other confusing trails - pay attention.
